Sky retains bulk of Champions League rights in Austria amid Canal Plus swoop – SportBusiness

Pay-TV broadcaster Sky has retained the majority of its Uefa Champions League rights in Austria from 2024-25 to 2026-27.
Sky has secured exclusive rights to all Tuesday-evening matches and eight of the nine Wednesday fixtures played each matchweek. Pay-TV broadcaster Canal Plus yesterday (Thursday) announced its acquisition of the first-pick Wednesday match as it made its first move into the Austrian sports rights market.
