NBA News Today: Luka Doncic becomes 10th player with 50 career triple-doubles, Zach LaVine reacts to getting benched late in the game, and more | November 19, 2022 – Sportskeeda

Luka Doncic made history on Friday as he became the 10th player in NBA history to have 50 career triple-doubles. Doncic had 33 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists in a win over the Denver Nuggets. He is off to an amazing start for the Dallas Mavericks, leading the league in scoring.
Meanwhile, Zach LaVine struggled against the Orlando Magic on Friday night. LaVine shot poorly from the field and was benched for the final four minutes of the game. The Chicago Bulls guard reacted to head coach Billy Donovan’s decision after the game.

The Philadelphia 76ers had a statement win on Friday over the Milwaukee Bucks. However, the win might have come at a cost. Star guard Tyrese Maxey left the game in the second quarter due to a left foot injury and was ruled out for the rest of the game.
According to Sports Illustrated, X-rays came back negative but Maxey will set to undergo an MRI on Saturday. The Sixers have already been without James Harden since Nov. 3 due to a right foot tendon strain, and Joel Embiid is not the the most durable player in the NBA.

Luka Doncic registered the 50th triple-double of his career in a win over the Denver Nuggets on Friday. Doncic dominated the Nikola Jokic-less Nuggets and finished with 33 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. The Dallas Mavericks improved to a record of 9-6.
Some of the legends ahead of Doncic on the all-time list include Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson, Jason Kidd, Wilt Chamberlain and Larry Bird. Other active players on the list are Russell Westbrook, LeBron James, Nikola Jokic and James Harden.
The Memphis Grizzlies were on their way to an easy win over the OKC Thunder on Friday night. However, Ja Morant left in the fourth quarter after rolling his left ankle. Morant collided with Lu Dort during a play, which caused the unfortunate injury.
Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins told reporters after the game that Morant will undergo further testing on Saturday. Morant remains one of the best players in the NBA, but injuries have plagued him since last season. He missed 25 games in the regular season and the final three games of their postseason run.

Zach LaVine did not have his best game in the Chicago Bulls’ 108-107 loss to the Orlando Magic on Friday. LaVine shot 1-for-14 from the field and was benched with under four minutes left in the game. The All-Star guard was baffled by head coach Billy Donovan’s decision to bench him.
The NBA had 11 games on Friday, with the Washington Wizards and Cleveland Cavaliers winning in overtime. The Indiana Pacers shook off a slow start to defeat the Houston Rockets.
Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics extended their winning streak to nine games after beating the New Orleans Pelicans. The Utah Jazz continued to take down contenders after winning over the Phoenix Suns.
