Playoff races are heating up across the NFL, but many teams have already seen their postseason chances crash and burn.
With Week 17 nearly complete, 19 of 32 NFL organizations have either clinched or remain in contention for postseason spots.
That leaves 13 teams that have already been eliminated. Here’s a look at those squads and who could join them in the near future:

Six AFC teams and seven NFC teams have been eliminated from postseason contention with one full week remaining in the regular season. Here’s a breakdown of which teams have been eliminated:
Which NFL teams could be eliminated in Week 18?
In the battle for the NFC’s final playoff spot, the Green Bay Packers clinch with a win over the Detroit Lions. The Lions take it with a win over the Packers and a Seattle Seahawks loss. Seattle will make the playoffs with a win over the Los Angeles Rams and a Green Bay loss.
The New England Patriots can clinch the final AFC playoff spot with a win over the Buffalo Bills or a Miami Dolphins loss to the New York Jets. If the Pats lose to Buffalo, they can still clinch with a Dolphins loss and a Tennessee Titans loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Dolphins claim the spot with a win and a Patriots loss.
The winner of the matchup between the Titans and the Jaguars will win the AFC South and make the postseason.
The Pittsburgh Steelers‘ surprise run will continue in the postseason if they defeat the Cleveland Browns, the Patriots lose to the Bills and the Dolphins lose to the Jets.
