Elections are over, put political disputes aside, says Adam – Free Malaysia Today

PETALING JAYA: The elections are over and it’s time for political disputes to be put aside, PKR Youth leader Adam Adli said today after taking his oath of office as deputy minister for youth and sports.
Speaking to reporters after the ceremony at Istana Negara, he said: “It is time for those who are responsible to the people to focus on their work and put aside past political disputes.
“Let’s not drag out the political disputes for too long. That takes energy and time when we should be working now,” he said.
“We have already formed the government and everyone has to take responsibility,” he said, according to Astro Awani.
“The challenge is to ensure that our agenda is implemented. There are many challenges ahead. The prime minister has called for a focus on the cost of living and on reforms,” he said.
Adam said he was ready to help his minister, Hannah Yeoh, to ensure that the ministry’s agenda is implemented.
He said, he will always discuss and help Yeoh so that planning involving young people goes well.
Adam was among 27 deputy ministers who took their oaths of office at Istana Negara.
At the general election last month, Adam was elected MP for Hang Tuah Jaya, defeating Ridhwan Ali of Barisan Nasional, Azrudin Idris (Perikatan Nasional) and Sheikh Ikhzan Sheikh Salleh (Pejuang).
