By Lewis Laird
BT Sport has provided Celtic supporters with plenty of content today as we eagerly anticipate the Bhoys’ return to competitive action.
With no competitive top-flight action on at this moment in time, TV broadcasters will have been scrolling through the archives to keep their schedules rolling.
The World Cup in Qatar has caught the attention of football supporters around the world. But there aren’t many better feelings than watching your club in action.
This might have led some fans to look back fondly on old highlights of years gone by as we await the return of Ange Postecoglou’s side this Saturday.
For those of you who find this idea as the ideal opportunity to kill time during the World Cup, then today, you are in luck.
TV broadcaster BT Sport are currently showcasing some of Celtic’s classic UEFA Champions League games alongside all six of the Hoops group stage fixtures in 2022.
Each game has been condensed into a 30-minute highlight package, which allows us to relive some fantastic memories from the competition.
These games include famous modern-day European nights against giants such as Barcelona, AC Milan and Manchester United. For older supporters, there is also a throwback to the Bhoys’ previous meeting against Real Madrid back in 1980.
After watching some classic nights at Paradise, there is also the chance to relive Ange Postecoglou and his squad’s first shot at the prestigious club tournament.
Although it may have been a slightly disappointing campaign, there are still some fond memories to look back on from those games.
For supporters who might currently have some spare time on their hands, this is the perfect opportunity to watch some classic Celtic European action, which should get you right up for the Bhoys’ return on Saturday.
From 1 PM through to 8 PM, BT Sport will be showcasing these games, giving fans the chance to relive some fantastic memories, with a short break between 4 PM – 4:30 PM.
You can check out the schedule HERE if you would rather jump in and out of some of your favourites, including the 2-1 win over the Spanish giants in 2012.
Currently, BT are broadcasting the victory over AC Milan 2007/08, so head on over there now if you want to catch the highlights of that game!
We are for an exciting week as we get set for the Bhoys to make their return, and tuning into BT Sport will be the perfect way to kick-start it!
In other news, Agent could be up to old tricks as reported Celtic target hands in transfer request.
