Premium sportsbook partners with its first licensed sportsbook operator
Altenar, the leading sportsbook and iGaming software provider, has signed a landmark deal with ChillyBets, marking the first time the Malta-based sportsbook has partnered with a licensed operator in Germany.
This deal sees Altenar increase its presence in Europe and make its debut in the German market. Powering the company’s online upgrade, ChillyBets is the perfect partner for Altenar, given its extensive track record as a renowned operator.
ChillyBets was founded in 2018 by parent company Chilling Cheetah, becoming officially licensed as a sportsbook operator in Germany in the summer of 2021.
With ChillyBets now given full access to Altenar’s sports betting solution, this new partnership will undoubtedly make the operator more competitive in a thriving market.
Altenar will be able to offer the very best of its software to ChillyBets in this jurisdiction.
Although currently based solely online, ChillyBets also has the opportunity to take advantage of Altenar’s speciality within retail. Altenar has shown it has world-leading expertise in retail solutions, with huge growth in Belgium over the past 12 months.
Commenting on the deal, Diego Salas, Sales Manager at Altenar, said: “We are delighted to be able to partner with our first ever licensed sportsbook operator in Germany, and ChillyBets, with its wealth of experience within this industry, is the best start we could have hoped for.
“There is no doubt this partnership will be a huge achievement and we are very excited to be able to tap into the German market for the first time following recent successes across the region.”
Tal Zamstein, CEO at ChillyBets, said: “We are happy to start a new era for our business in the regulated territory of Germany together with Altenar.
“We are sure that Altenar is the right partner in terms of the offer and the support to our efforts in this complicated regulatory environment.”
Altenar’s successes have been recognised with multiple recent award wins, including the MiGEAs, EGR Nordics, EGR Italy, SBC Latin America and the Baltic and Scandinavian Gaming Awards.
Licensed across a total of 13 major global markets, including the UKGC and MGA, Altenar has established itself as the sportsbook provider of choice for multiple leading operators.

With its subsidiary BluBet, NOVO INTERACTIVE is one of the first gaming providers with a German permit for virtual slot machine gaming. Now, the German-based company is further expanding the cooperation with its platform partner Alteatec.
Alteatec is one of the world’s leading developers and providers of game management and portal systems for online gaming. The company has been collaborating closely with NOVO INTERACTIVE on the development of the novoline.de gaming platform since 2020. On this platform, NOVO INTERACTIVE offers its customers a wide selection of virtual slot games from well-known manufacturers, providing a completely new dimension of gaming fun.
In addition to the end customer business, NOVO INTERACTIVE also allows business partners to participate in licensed virtual slot machine gaming. As the first B2B offer on the German market, the iGaming platform NOVOLINE thereby unites stationary cash gaming and online gaming: Because with NOVOLINE, players have the choice of registering either directly at novoline.de or on site at an arcade. Already today, more than 1,500 participating gaming arcades nationwide offer this option. The business partners (arcade operators) in turn benefit from their companies’ presence in the digital space, the visibility of the NOVOLINE brand and a share in commissions.
NOVO INTERACTIVE also uses Alteatec solutions to manage all its partnerships with arcade operators. For this purpose, the two companies have developed an agent system that was designed specifically for the requirements of the German market. It enables arcade operators to retrieve QR codes, for example, which clearly map referred gaming guests to their locations. The settlement of income sharing is also carried out in a purely digital manner via the agent system. A performance dashboard furthermore offers the business partners an overview of their business success at any time. “The development partnership with Alteatec serves as the foundation for our unique 360-degree approach. As the first company in the German market, we are thereby bridging the gap between commercial cash gaming and online gaming,” says Oliver Bagus, Managing Director of NOVO INTERACTIVE.
“The partnership between Alteatec and NOVO INTERACTIVE is a true success story. It thrives on the combination of our many years of expertise as developers of online gaming platforms with the know-how on land-based gaming contributed by NOVO INTERACTIVE and its parent company LÖWEN ENTERTAINMENT,” says Christian Sael, owner and Managing Director of Alteatec. “This close cooperation on an equal footing allows us to break new ground in a market that is new to Germany – in a way that is both creative and innovative. This is the only way to stand out from the competition. Our Olympus One solution creates optimal conditions for this.”
“With Alteatec as a platform partner, we are working daily to further expand the attractiveness for our guests. Because what we want to offer with our product is entertainment at the highest level. The management system designed by Alteatec is indispensable for both our end customer and our B2B businesses – it is the heart of novoline.de,” says Oliver Bagus. “Alteatec’s customized solutions offer tremendous flexibility in managing, designing and developing our online platform,” Bagus continues.
Currently, for example, new payment service providers are being integrated into novoline.de in order to improve the deposit and withdrawal options for gaming guests. But Alteatec has also successfully implemented regulatory requirements resulting from the State Treaty on Gaming for NOVO INTERACTIVE. For example, Alteatec developed the complex technical interfaces needed to connect the NOVOLINE platform to the nationwide OASIS player suspension system and the LUGAS central file with its limit and activity database for gaming guests.

The committees of Germany’s largest lottery operator WestLotto (Westdeutsche Lotterie GmbH & Co OHG) have unanimously extended the contract with Andreas Kötter as spokesman for the management board for a further five years until 2028.
“It is very good news for WestLotto, NRW.BANK and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia that Andreas Kötter will be working for the company for another five years as spokesman for the management. Andreas Kötter stands for successful corporate management,” said the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Michael Stölting, who is also a member of the NRW.BANK Board of Management.
Andreas Kötter joined WestLotto management in 2013 and has been managing the company together with Christiane Jansen as second managing director since 2016. He has an excellent national and international network and outstanding knowledge of the gaming market.
As the long-standing chairman of the Eurojackpot cooperation, he is leading the world’s most successful lottery launch in the past ten years. In October, after several years as an executive member, Kötter was elected 1st Vice President of the World Lottery Association (WLA).
“I would like to thank you for the trust in being able to continue to lead WestLotto on the path to the future. In the future, we as a company will continue to take on a very special responsibility for North Rhine-Westphalia and its citizens via the lottery principle,” Andreas Kötter said.

Yet another huge name from the online gambling arena has signed up to join the Neccton family, as NOVO INTERACTIVE with its second platform admiralbet.de becomes the latest operator to bring the company’s mentor software on board for both Anti–Money Laundering (AML) and Responsible Gambling (RG).
NOVO INTERACTIVE is the online arm of the LÖWEN-Group, which is itself a subsidiary of gaming giant NOVOMATIC. NOVO INTERACTIVE brings all of LÖWEN-Group’s online gambling business under its umbrella, with top slot website novoline.de alongside AdmiralBet’s sportsbook offering. Both brands have received a license to offer online virtual slots.
With Neccton’s mentor, NOVO INTERACTIVE customers are protected with best-in-class software that monitors player behaviour in real time and communicates with both player and operator should negative play patterns emerge.
mentor looks for a raft of potential markers in player behaviour, including a significant increase in deposit frequency, to keep players safe from harm. The software contacts the player directly when required, and alerts the operator to the issue so further care can be administered if needed.
NOVO INTERACTIVE is also harnessing the software’s Anti-Money Laundering module, which is compliant with European requirements, plus Ontario and many other jurisdictions worldwide. Neccton’s rule engine is preconfigured for each specific market and allows for individual customizations by a customer’s AML or RG officers.
The software – which has become the market leader in Europe and is used by most of the top iGaming operators – also features modules for Fraud and aCRM, so it is a one-stop solution for many of the most pressing needs facing operators today.
mentor has been developed using the research of Dr Michael Auer, who acts as director and head of development for Neccton. His research spans more than 15 years and tens of academic publications, all of which have established him as one of the world’s leading experts in the field.
Dr Auer welcomed NOVO INTERACTIVE, saying: “It’s wonderful to welcome a business like novoline.de and admiralbet.de into our roster of amazing customers. We are now protecting almost all of Germany’s online gamblers and that gives us immense pride.”
